Back Up Contacts On iPhone, Blackberry And Android

The three major mobile platforms Iphone, Android and BlackBerry provide the option to create a back up of your contacts and save it on computer hard disk. As mobile computing is now mainly based on cloud storage and it make it difficult to create backup that is stored locally on your computer. As Iphone and BlackBerry still provide you facility to crate backup by connecting USB cable. But the method and backup procedures of Android is different as you have to do it through cloud-based Google account.






Back Up Contacts On iPhone

Connect your iPhone with computer. It is advisable and also better to connect your iPhone with your computer with USB cable that comes with the device, If you dont have one than you can use any USB cable that works with it.

iTunes will launch automatically as you connect your iPhone with computer. If iTunes does not launch automatically, double-click the iTunes icon to launch the program. Click on the iPhone listed beneath the Devices heading in the iTunes application.

Now Right- Click on the iPhone device and select the Back-Up option.Your all iPhone data like contacts, photos, videos, applications will be backed up on the computer hard disk.

Back Up Contacts On BlackBerry

Connect your BlackBerry device with computer. It is advisable and also better to connect your BlackBerry device with your computer with USB cable that comes with the device, If you dont have one than you can use any USB cable that works with it.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager will launch automatically as you connect your iPhone with computer. If iTunes does not launch automatically, double-click the BlackBerry Desktop Manager icon to launch the program. Double Click on the Backup and Restore option and select Advanced option. Now select the Contacts to select contact database.

 Back Up Contacts On Android

Open Firefox or any latest web-browser you use. After opening web-browser on your computer go to Google login page and login to your Google Account.After Login successfully Click the "Gmail" link, followed by the "Contacts" tab on the side of the Gmail homepage.

Click on the "More" andselect Export option.Select the "All Contacts" option, followed by the "Outlook CSV" option.

Now click on Export button and select save.and than click on OK button. You can save it any where onyour computer.

  1. I have used a Copytrans-Contacts to back up my iPhone contacts to my computer without having to use iTunes sync.
