Pantech Renue Launched By AT&T With Price Tag Of 120$


ATT today released a new cheap or budget phone from Pantech. Pantech Renue phone runs on Qualcomm's BREW platform and has basic features such as 3.2-inch QVGA toucscreen display and a 3 megapixel rear camera.  The Pantech Renue was specially designed to be able to withstand everyday wear and tear, and the best thing about this smartphone would be the relatively cheap price of just $69.99 a pop – albeit with a new 2-year contract and after a mail-in rebate, of course.






This newly launched handset is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s portfolio of Quick Messaging Phones. The device aims to deliver the best of both worlds by packing in a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen for enhanced navigation, while a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard caters to providing an enriched messaging experience. The framework employed here is said to be UL Environment-certified and meets the RoHS standards. This helps reduce the exposure of hazardous materials.




The Renue also has a built-in QWERTY keypad, which should make typing out those status messages on Facebook or Twitter easier and a rugged body that with MIL Spec 810 G standards for resistance to dust and sand, temperature and humidity, shock, vibration, and radiation.



Other features include an FM radio, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G connectivity and even turn by turn voice navigation using GPS and AT&T's preloaded apps.The Pantech Renue is on sale right now and can be purchased for $119.99 on a two year contract (with a $50 mail-in rebate) or for $239.99 outright.
