Sony India launches Xperia ion for Rs. 36,999











After a unearthing at a pact location, Sony has publicly launch Xperia ion in India today. Attributing Android 4.0, the smartphone has been value at Rs. 36,999 and is now offered at major trade provisions. Sony Xperia ion was first publicize at CES this year, but was limited to US at that time. From the same time company has decided to release it in other markets such as India.

It sports 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.6-inch 720p display and a 12.1MP rear camera. The smartphone also features NFC, 1GB RAM, front camera and 1900 mAh battery. The device replaces Xperia S as the flagship smartphone in the country. Sony Xperia S currently retails at a street price of Rs. 27,000.

Sony has partnered with Airtel to provide exclusive data offer for ion buyers; Airtel mobile customers will get 500MB of free 3G data per month for 3 months as well as 200 minutes of Mobile TV for a period of 2 months with every Xperia Ion purchase.
