Vector has finally unveiled its first smartwatch at an event in Basel, Switzerland that has 30-day battery life. The smartphone comes in two models – Luna and Meridian.
The Vector smartwatch has cross-platform support to let users make its connection with any compatible Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices. There is a monochrome screen that provides notifications directly from the connected smartphones as well as delivers RSS news feed and deliversfitness and sleep tracking capabilities.
The Vector Luna smartwatch comes in Luna Contemporary, Performance and Classic and has a round display panel, while the Meridian has a rectangular display similar to Pebble smartwatch.
Both the variants of the Vector smartwatch have water resistance up to 50 meters and sport stainless steel case.
The display panel of both the smartwatch variants does not have touchscreen support, similar to Android Wear-based smartwatches and Apple Watch, but has decent sunlight legibility. The Vector Luna will be available with a price tag of about $349. The Vector Meridian, on the other hand, will hit stores for $199.
London-based Vector has started taking pre-orders for both the smartwatches. However, their formal launch events are scheduled in London, New York and San Francisco early this summer.
